Vicenzaoro January – The Jewellery Boutique Show (VOJ) of Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), comes back from the 20th to the 24th of January 2023 at Vicenza Expo Centre. It is the largest show in Europe for the Gold and Jewelry Industry that brings together the most important players in the sector. The whole jewelry and watches community will be present: high jewelry and fine jewelry brands, jewelry designers, precious stones dealers, packaging firms, machinery and technology for goldsmiths with T. GOLD watch sector, together with buyers, journalists, influencers, opinion leaders, enthusiasts, students and schools.
A huge space will be dedicated to vintage watches and jewelry with VO VINTAGE (from 20 to 23 January – one day more compared to the last edition), the marketplace for enthusiasts and collectors open to the public. A great opportunity to get a glimpse into the wonderful world of vintage.
A great new entry will be the TIME community dedicated to contemporary watchmaking with multi-channel distribution. Hall 1 will host about forty independent and established brands such as Edox, U-Boat, Gagà Milano, Locman, a selection of Italian niche brands and start-ups and a collective of Swiss brands curated by Swiss Creative Lab. Brands such as Oisa 1937 and Bergeon providing accessories, components, tools and services for after-sales will also be taking part. More than 1,300 exhibitors from various countries worldwide will participate in the show. This edition promises to gather even more visitors than the successful September 2022 one with its +10% of presence in comparison to pre-Covid 2019 show.
VOJ will showcase the new trends thanks to the ICON community which hosts the luxury brands of Italian and International jewelry, the LOOK community that gives a nod to contemporary jewelry with brands like Burato, Maria e Luisa Jewels, Rue des Mille, the CREATION district that hosts goldsmith production, semi-finished products and elements of jewelry creation with historical brands such as Aucella srl, the innovative proposals of the DESIGN ROOM with the presence of the most sought-after designers and the ESSENCE community with the most important precious stones, diamonds, corals and pearls dealers.

MARKET PERFORMANCE – VOJ offers the industry an opportunity to get an update on production and market data. A market that, until now, has confirmed an upward trend in exports compared to the two-year period 2019-2020. On 20th January at 14:30 Club degli Orafi and Intesa San Paolo Studies and Research Department will be illustrating an economic analysis of the performance of national gold and jewelry supply chains, international demand for precious metals, the effects of the complex international scenario on the sector and the cost of raw materials. The talk will be introduced by Giorgio Villa, President of Club degli Orafi Italia and 8853 Spa with the interventions of Augusto Ungarelli, President Vendorafa Lombardi and Former President of the Club degli Orafi Italia and Stefania Trenti, Chief of Industry Research and Studies of Banca Intesa San Paolo.
THE COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY AND FEMALE EMPOWERMENT
CIBJO, the World Jewelry Confederation, confirms its presence at VOJ with two days of seminars traditionally dedicated to the issues of sustainability and corporate social responsibility according to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals model.

An interesting panel organised by CIBJO and entitled “Sustainability through successful succession” will take place on Sunday January 22nd at 11:15 at Palladio Theatre. The lecturer will be Enzo Liverino, a living legend in the coral world and CIBJO Coral Commission President, moderated by Lisa Koenigsberg, who heads Initiatives in Arts and Culture in New York and by Ed Johnson.

Italpreziosi will focus on the importance of women’s contribution in the industry with the presence of Ivana Ciabatti, CEO and President of Italpreziosi, among the 100 women in the mining world awarded for their sustainable impact in the special ranking of Women in Mining UK (WIM UK). The talk entitled “Women driving sustainability in mining” will be moderated by Iris Van Der Veken, Executive Director of the Watch & Jewellery Initiative 2030 and will take place on Saturday 21st at 12:30.
Katerina Perez, the globetrotting jewelry aficionado, whose passion has blossomed into a flourishing career as an opinion leader and a jewelry insider with more than 13 years of experience in the industry, will talk about how she transformed her love for jewelry into a profession on 21st January at 16:30 at Palladio Theatre.

THE JOURNEY INTO THE DREAM AT THE CORE OF THE TRENDVISION EVENT
An excellent opportunity to establish a dialogue between the needs, way of life and background of new consumers and the jewelry supply chain will be the focus of the event organised by Trendvision Jewellery + Forecasting, IEG’s independent Observatory directed by Paola De Luca. The panel “Dreamscape – between reality and fiction pushing the boundaries of the jewelry sector”, will look into the inner desire to escape from reality, venture into virtual atmospheres and travel into the dream that crosses society and is transmitted to consumer choices.

MEETING WITH DIOR COUTURE: THE BLURRED BOUNDARIES BETWEEN HIGH FASHION AND JEWELLERY
In collaboration with Vicenza Oro, a privileged observatory of the luxury segment, Assogemme will host a meeting with Dominique Dufermont, Responsable service Pierres Dior Joaillerie, to explore the points of contact and the increasingly blurred boundaries between haute couture and jewelry. Aesthetic excellence, technical expertise, professionalism and a multi-faceted approach will be at the heart of the event. The interview will be conducted by Raffaele Ciardulli with the intervention of Paolo Cesari, President of Assogemme.
FOCUS ON TRAINING AND YOUNG TALENT
VOJ also focuses on training for new generations to attract young people to a career in the gold and jewelry field. Talents and young designers will be the main feature of the HRD Design Awards event, the international Jewelry Design competition promoted by HRD Antwerp with the high patronage of CIBJO and in partnership with Vicenza Oro.
Another two moments will also be dedicated to future gold and jewelry professionals. VOJ will be opening its doors to middle and high schools in the area for a special Open Day organised by Confindustria Federorafi in collaboration with the Province of Vicenza that will include meetings and discussions with the protagonists of the sector.
Last but not least, space will be given to the creativity of young people with the presentation of the LabiGem – Italian Gemmology Laboratory jewelry design competition aimed at creating a contemporary jewel inspired by the jewels and amulets found in King Tutankhamen’s tomb ilgioiellodelfaraone.it .
INNOVATION AND RESEARCH AT THE CENTER OF THE JEWELRY TECHNOLOGY FORUM
Processing and technological applications, research and development on alloys and new materials, phygital jewelery and the digital transformation of certifications, economic-financial trends and sustainability in jewelry will be the topics of the Jewelry Technology Forum (JTF), an international conference organized by IEG in collaboration with Legor Group on Sunday 22nd January. A unique training moment of its kind, with the participation of European and overseas researchers and experts.
