The human mind is endlessly mysterious and fascinating: one never knows what kind of thoughts and secrets, groundbreaking ideas and brave dreams are contained inside someone’s head, especially when it comes to the greatest of our times. Giuseppe Fata, a world-renowned, award-winning, and critically acclaimed fashion designer has a unique talent for conveying the mind’s enigmas in the form of head sculptures. He plays with fabrics and jewels in order to create exceptional adornments that reflect the interior and amaze the world outside. Known as “the genius of art on your head,” Giuseppe Fata appeals to culture and history.
A skilled artist, Fata has worked with the greatest names in Italian and international fashion, including Armani, Scervino, Valentino, Ferré, Biagiotti, and many others. He has also collaborated with the Oscar prize-winning costume designer Gabriella Pescucci at the Rome International Film Festival and other events. His head sculptures have been featured at fashion weeks in Milan, New York, Paris, and London. The city of Rome has honoured his art by appointing him Ambassador of fashion, art and Italian style. Since 2017, he has been creative director and President of haute couture vision in Milan, Paris, and New York. Two years later, he was awarded the prestigious Dubai Fashion and Design Award by royalty and the Minister of culture Dubai.
This year, the world mourned the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. Nonetheless, having lived and reigned through many landmark events, she remains the symbol of an era. The UK’s longest-serving monarch, she celebrated her Platinum Jubilee earlier this year, an event of an international scale honoured by people around the globe. Presented exclusively on celebreMagazine World is Giuseppe Fata’s new chic, prestigious project, the Crown.
It was this occasion, as well as the desire to pay tribute to the reign of Her Majesty, that inspired him to create his magnificent project. The title speaks for itself. On the one hand, it is a homage to everything the Crown has come to represent, namely, the glory of the royals, power, divinity and duty. It is an object of so precious and of great prestige, respect and fame. On the other hand, the Crown is associated with fearsome beauty and opulence, seen as a piece of art. It is seductive and alluring. it is a masterpiece.
Fata draws on both meanings in his project, embellishing them with his artistic flair and unique vision. What makes the Crown so special is this combination of historical magnificence, the ghosts of kings and queens long gone whose glory still haunts the earth, and the voice and skilled hands of one immensely talented man. In an awe-inspiring manner, he has captured those elusive concepts of mightiness and dignity that only show themselves to the genuinely artistic souls and found a form to express them: the inimitable Crown.
This is not the first time the couturier has been inspired by royalty, having recently created a sculpture head to pay homage to the Empress of Austria, Elisabeth Amalia Eugenia of Wittelsbach, known as Sissi. Having this work in the background, the Crown is a matchless masterpiece. He takes fashion to its extreme in his art, blurring the boundary between art, sculpture, and clothing.
Various luxurious fabrics, gems, and jewels united with the precision of an architect transform, as if by magic, into a head sculpture that is a work of art. His sculpture heads are unmistakable.
Giuseppe Fata is not just a name. Giuseppe Fata is the highest manifestation of art in fashion and fashion in art.
