May 2022 edition press conference
It is with enormous pleasure that the founders of GemGenève, Thomas Faerber and Ronny Totah, have announced that over 170 exhibitors, including retailers (144), schools, designers, the Igor Carl Fabergé Foundation, laboratories and other partners, will attend the show. Ronny Totah emphasizes: “After the success of the May 2022 edition and following demands from our exhibitors, we decided to organise a second edition in November 2022 in Geneva but that won’t become the norm in future.” This autumn edition 2022 is expected to be extraordinary, offering a 360-degree panoramic view into the core of jewelry, precious stones, rare and unique gems, pearls, antique jewelry and historical and contemporary works. Unprecedented in its kind, this show will allow visitors to discover, touch, feel the beauty of such exceptional jewels and to learn and receive advice from highly qualified professionals: thus, making it easier to purchase spontaneously at the moment if they find the right piece. In a space dedicated to contemporary creativity, GemGenève is proud to welcome nine talented designers, including four Emerging Talents and five Designers.

Igor Carl Fabergé Foundation – which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year – will present a particularly beautiful exhibition of exceptional pieces from the Tsars’ famous jeweler. More than 100 pieces representing the vast expertise of Igor Carl Fabergé and his skilled craftsmen, ranging from three unseen imperial eggs to objets de vertu, will be on show. Newly integrated in May, ‘Art & Jewellery Conversations’ by Strong & Precious will bring together famous designers and Olga Oleksenko’s discoveries from Ukraine, a country with great potential in jewelry and design. Conferences, round tables, exhibitions and workshops have a prominent place at GemGenève and each year there is a great cultural variety in the program. An exhibition space will be dedicated to the art of micromosaics. Creating a dialogue between Roman Mosaïcs, Micromosaïcs jewelry pieces from the late 18th Century and contemporary creations, the exhibition will be complemented by panel discussions and lectures led by renowned experts and curators. This year there will be 144 professional exhibitors from 19 countries, showcasing a great diversity as well as the top quality of the items on display, ranging from affordable jewelry via rare and exceptional pieces to antique and historic gems up to contemporary creations.
