When people talk about excellence, they think of made in Italy. When they speak about outstanding nautical excellence, their thoughts turn to Fabiani Yacht, a Tuscan shipyard in Livorno known for its innovative, technological and eco-sustainable yachts. Their design is absolutely 100% user-friendly for people with disabilities.
The prestigious shipyard was recently awarded two prizes, in May 2019 and October 2021, βLe Fonti Awardsβ held at Milan Stock Exchange, as the yearβs excellence for innovation and leadership in luxury yachting. In both classic and hybrid versions, the range offered includes the 62β², 70β², 77β², 100β² and 101β² models; yachts rich in technology and design where everything is taken care of first and foremost by the shipyard, assisted by professionals in the sector. Comfort and safety are considered essential elements, and many solutions aim to achieve the highest levels of usability and ergonomics in terms of space and technical characteristics. An aspect of great importance that concerns all Fabiani Yachts is the possibility for disabled people to access the boat in total autonomy from the dock to every area of the ship.

Research and study into the materials used to construct the hulls have led to their yachts being created in aluminium, a totally recyclable element. In addition, great attention has been focused on the style and design of these yachts, which are characterised by large usable spaces with lots of light, as the deck cabin is completely glazed. The care taken over the brightness of the rooms is also visible thanks to the large windows.

Engineer Maurizio Fabiani, President of Fabiani Yacht, is the owner of the various patents on the prestigious boats. They concern both hybrid propulsion and the multifunctional stern platform. The hybrid propulsion, the retractable photovoltaic arrays are able to produce the energy necessary to navigate yachts with high autonomy without any fuel costs and in full respect of the environment, at a speed of 6-8 knots. In addition to the two electric motors, two diesel engines allow the yacht to sail at higher speeds in the case of long distances or in weather conditions that are not conducive to electric navigation.

The stern platform is capable of acting as an external lift, starting below sea level and reaching up to the upper deck. It is, therefore, possible to stop at the port quay as with any hydraulic gangway, and from inside the platform comes out an extractable element that makes it possible to get on board with a small electric car and to easily load and unload suitcases and anything else from the dock to every level of the boat.

The real and noble functionality is the usability by disabled people, who can get on board autonomously from the portβs dock to every room of the yacht. The interior design has been studied with this peculiarity in mind since there are no internal steps.

For excellent avant-garde construction and technology, here are some details of the leading yachts in the hybrid version range to better understand their characteristics. The 62β² hybrid, currently their latest design, has a length of 19.25 m and a maximum speed with the diesel engines of 22 knots. It cruises at 6-8 knots in electric mode with 9-4 hours of autonomy. It has a large hall, a galley, a bathroom, three double bedrooms with bathrooms and two cabins for two crew members; the air-conditioned cockpit on the flybridge is equipped with a large sundeck at the bow.

The 70β² and 77β² hybrids have a length of 22.80 m and a maximum speed with diesel engines of 28 knots. In electric mode, the speed is 8-5 knots with an autonomy of 5-21 hours. The interior spaces consist of a large hall with a galley, a bathroom, three double bedrooms with full bathrooms or four bedrooms, three doubles and one with bunk beds. The sundeck converts into sofas and table in the bow, an air-conditioned cockpit on the equipped flybridge; a cockpit with table and chairs; a garage; one cabin for two crew members.

The 100β² hybrid has a length of 28.30 m and a maximum speed with the diesel engines of 23 knots. The speed in electric mode is 8-6 knots with an autonomy of 23-8 h. Interiors include a dining room, galley in the central block, large sofas, a TV in the bow with a panoramic window, and an exit to the sundeck. The air-conditioned cockpit on the flybridge. Cockpit equipped with table and chairs, a garage, and two cabins for four crew members.
The 101β² is at the top of the range, with a hull length of 28.81 mβtwo cabins for four crew members. There is a large aft hall with a sofa and dining table, a galley, a beautiful panoramic master bedroom with a bathroom, and five rooms on the lower deck. Garage; bow sundeck in front of the cockpit on the flybridge; cockpit furnished with table and chairs.

In its corporate vision and mission, Fabiani Yacht is confident of an increasingly green and eco-sustainable future, which is an absolute forerunner and ambassador in the nautical world.
